Canadian Red Cross on hand in Montreal: Evacuees from Lebanon

During the first few weeks of the conflict in the Middle East, more than 5000 Canadians had to be evacuated from Lebanon. More than 450 Canadian Red Cross volunteers were on hand in Montreal and other airports and train stations across the country, to provide shelter, food, and psycho-social help for 72 hours while returnees sorted out their personal situations.
